Goals

Hello there.  We were having computer issues again and I am reluctant to say they are all fixed (don't want to jinx anything here)...but I am hoping so.  So I missed the link up for the January goal.  My goal had been to get half the rows sewn together for the City Harbour quilt. I exceeded the goal well before the end of the month and here are some quick picks I took today of the completed quilt top.

Cheri House designed this quilt with the goal of using several colours which are similar in colour and value.  It's two alternating vertical rows. To avoid having the quilt top curve I sewed the two rows in pairs sewing from teal to bright blue and then sewed those units together sewing from bright blue towards teal.

I am really happy that I chose this goal for January and that the got the quilt top finished as the kit for this quilt has been in my stash for years and years.  It feels good to be using some of my stash and not just buying new things for each project that I do.

But on to February.  My piecing goal will be to catch up with the Push Pull Quilt Along hosted by Yvonne of Quilting Jetgirl and finish piecing one by the end of the month.  Due to the computer issue I have not been able to access the cutting instructions so here is a picture of my lovely uncut fabric.

Doesn't all that yellow just make you happy!  This will be my one monthly goal for February.  I will continue to work on my quilting of the stacked coins quilt if I am able to and I am going to make myself a purple tunic.  I'm hoping to get it done this weekend when I have a weekend away with my friends.
I am not sure how much blogging I will be able to do as I have an inflamed tendon in my right hand and typing is not the best.  Linking up with Patty of Elm Street Quilts for the February OMG  linkup.

That yellow does indeed make me happy; perfect for this grey and gloomy time of year.

I'm sorry to hear that computer problems have been tough enough that you haven't had access to the instructions. Do let me know if you need anything from me or if I can help in any way. I also hope that your tendon inflammation calms down and feels better soon. <3

Oh well doe, you didn’t just reach your goal, you SMASHED it! Love those yellows, it’s such a happy colour. I hope your computer is fixed now, technology is wonderful, until it goes wrong.

No worries about responding to my comment, Lisa, while you heal. Just wanted to say that is such a beautiful quilt! I especially like the photo with the shadowing. Very nice! Rest and heal; hope you are back to 100% soon!

Computer problems and tendon inflammation one is bad enough but two. I hope the inflammation goes away soon.

I know how stifling it can be to have computer problems, as we were out for a week and it seemed like a month! I hope all is well now. That blue quilt is so blendy beautiful. And yellow, yes, we all want more yellow at this time of year!

Computer problems are such a nuisance. I do hope your tendon issue is resolved as well. Love these stacked coins as well as how you are lining up your goals.
