After catching up with the Meadow Mystery I figured I better keep the flow going and I finished up December's instructions on the weekend.
How's this for an artsy photo. You'll have to bear with me here. My camera which has been acting up for a while has finally died and I'm having to work on my photography skills with an ipad.
When we get to this point in the making it's fun to start playing around with things to see how things might develop with the quilt. So here are a couple of layouts on my design wall.
Yes I did notice that the block in the top right hand corner has a mistake in it and I did fix it.
When I completed Novembers blocks I was despairing a bit about all the pink and purple together but I can see now that the pink is really needed to give the other colours some punch and I'm hoping it will get woven throughout the quilt.
I also managed to sew the backing for Charlotte's quilt and I'm looking forward to pin basting it tonight. I can start the quilting tomorrow morning before I go to work. Woo Hoo!
I'll be linking this post to Let's Bee Social hosted by Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts.

Your blocks look great and I agree that in these blocks the blue and pink play together quite well. :)
You took excellent photo with the ipad. Love both design you made so I can't help you decide. ;^)
Isn't it amazing how different it can look by turning a few blocks? Both designs are appealing.
I can't wait to get mine done. I love the different layouts. Can't wait to see this progress some more.
Your blocks are looking great and I love your arrangement!
I like both layouts! Coming from one who has an old iPad...photos are hard to come by!
These look lovely! I just finished mine too, and I'm finally feeling better about my color choices!
I always liked your pink and purple and it's looking great Lisa. Wish I was as far on.............
Your blocks are looking great! I love seeing how everyone plays with what the arrangement might be.
This looks really nice Lisa. Love all of the open, negative space in the arrangement.
Funny thing, somehow I never put it together that you are in Canada.... my son and his fiancée live in Toronto- near the University where she is working on her PhD. They are getting married in January so I will be trekking to Toronto for the first time for the wedding!
