Snow Flake Shimmer Update

Somewhere in a small city in Southern Ontario there is a woman doing the happy dance.  Can you see her waving her arms around with excitement.  That woman is me, happy because I've finished my Snowflake Shimmer quilt top. Yay!

Here it is on the line right before a large wind came and pushed the pegs on the right hand side together squishing the quilt.  I missed the deadline for the last progress link up so I'll be linking up with Beth at Main Crush Monday instead.  I love the design that Yvonne came up with and the top came together in a unique way that made it fun to work on.  I'm not sure if I'll have time to quilt it before the final linkup so this may be the post I link up with. I've got quite a list of quilts that are in the quilting queue.  Most of them are destined for other places but this one should be staying right here!

It looks beautiful and I'm not surprised you're keeping it!

Great color palette. Almost extreme contrast without using black. Makes the white really stand out.

It's fun design and your color way made it particularly elegant and minimalist. Again, I'm eager to see how you quilt it))

Like Catherine says, I am not surprised you're keeping it, I will be keeping mine. Aren't they great? I think we have all had problems trying to photograph them on the washing line, Tish, you and myself. I look forward to seeing how you quilt yours, whenever, however.

I love your fabric choices Lisa. That dark background really sets off the snowflake. Beautiful!

It looks fabulous. I think this quilt has become a favorite for so many of us quilters. I had to drop mine off with a professional long arm resource as it's just too big for me to quilt on my domestic machine. I can't wait to see what you do with yours!

It turned out wonderfully Lisa! Now I know what caught my eye on the northeast horizon: it was your arms waving around as you did the happy dance! LOL

I see you dancing. It looks great. I'm hoping to get mine quilted for the link up, but I'm not holding my breath.

The contrast in your quilt is beautiful. I like how it turned out. Seeing all the pretty top emerging, I feel I should have joined but then again - I have hardly got time as it is =)
