And here's a picture I took outside yesterday on the clothes line when the binding was only part done.
The pattern is Giant Chevron. It's a pattern by Jess Frost that you can buy on Craftsy. Jess ran a free motion quilt along in the fall and I chose to use her pattern to practise the patterns on. This quilt along was awesome. Every few weeks or so. Jess would post a u tube video showing how she quilted a pattern. I'm really happy that I used her quilt pattern and that I tried each of the different quilting patterns, one pattern for each of the rows of the chevron. Because the rows changed direction I got practise changing directions while quilting. The patterns alternated from curvy pattern, to angular pattern. I found the curvy patterns easier to do, but I'm glad I persisted with the angular patterns as well. Usually by the time I got to the end of the row my skill with each pattern improved.
Here are some close ups of some of the quilting.
This quilt along helped me to really improve my skills. Thank you Jess for your great quilt along. This is my first finish for the first quarter of the 2015 Finish Along ( here's my original list) I'm linking up with The Year of Lovely Finishes January Linky Party with Shana at Fibre of All Sorts , (heres my goal setting post) and with the Free Motion Quilt Along Linky Party with Jess at Elven Garden Quilts.

Very pretty
That is a beautiful quilt Lisa. Your feather quilting is superb but I really like the bottom pattern with the simple leaf and lines.
Really pretty. I need to try those feathers!
