5 mini finishes

I've been spending the last couple of weeks finishing up some mini quits.  I'm getting them ready to hang in libraries in May.  Our guild displays quilts in our local libraries during May which is quilting month.  As I am coordinating the displays this year I thought I should get more of my own quilts ready for hanging.  Here's what I've done so far.

I made this one at a machine applique workshop at my guild.
It was the first time I did machine applique.  It was a lot of fun, and easier than I thought it would be.

This was made with left over blocks from a baby quilt I made.  I think it will be nice and bright in the children's area of a library.

Here's another one made also from leftover blocks

I had a lot of fun practising my free motion quilting when I was finishing up these little quilts.  The following two are quilts I made in a mini workshops with Kathy of Kathy's Quilts.

Slow Stitching Some Binding

Today is slow stitching Sunday over at Kathy's blog and I'm adding my project to the list.
I've been finishing up a group of mini quilts and wall hangings, and this one is ready for binding.
I pieced it a few years ago in a class with Kathy.   It's been hanging around waiting for me to get comfortable enough to quilt it.  This is a very funky version of stippling, but it works for me...and the stitches are so tiny I couldn't pull them out if I wanted to l.o.l.

Here's a peak at a new project I will be working on starting in March.
I get together once a month to quilt with my friends Cyndy and Wendy.
We signed up for the Park Bench block of the month at Mad About Patchwork and the first installment came last week.  I can't wait to get started!

This is Benny the helper cat.  He always likes to hang out on my fabrics when I sew.

And just to add a little more brightness into your lives here are some more additions to the stash. Kona charm squares and some Tula Pink fat quarters that were on sale.  They look so pretty there on the white table.
With this deep freeze we are in we need to get our brightness somewhere.
